Uniform Guide

Guidelines
  • Drawn portion of the application must be your own art. Must be a full body with the correct uniform.
  • Tracing, bases or commissioned art will not be accepted.
  • Please include as much detail as you can within the written portion of the application.
  • Make sure you keep your character believable for the universe.
  • Characters should have not have any relation or connection to canon characters.
  • No metamorphmagus/werewolves/part-veelas etc. All characters must be 100% human.
  • Characters must have gotten their Hogwarts letter strictly at the age of 11 - no exceptions.
  • Characters must live within the UK and Ireland. No exchange students.
  • We encourage diversity! We’d love to see some ethnic roots and designs. Just keep their natural hair and eye colours natural. (However, feel free to have your character dye their hair!)
  • Once a character is in a house they cannot change houses.
  • Please leave room for character development.

If you have a question, check the [FAQ]. If it is not there don’t be afraid to ask us!

Please be wary to avoid character cliches. These include but are not limited to;

  • Rare genetic mutations such as Albinism and Heterochromia etc. This goes for students and pets.
  • Orphans, or killing off the character’s family members in the their backstory to make it ‘interesting’.
  • Characters growing up in abusive households or being neglected.
  • Bullying issues with Slytherins.

Introduction

Kwidditch allows members to create main and side characters. There are large differences between each character type in how much participation they provide the user with. Group members are allowed 4 main characters at a time, while at the moment there are no limits on the amount of side-characters a member can have. However, Kwidditch admins trust all members to be sensible enough to know how many characters they can handle.

Learn about and  how to create main and side characters below.

* When joining the group a user’s first character must be a main character.

Main Character Creation

Main characters are able to participate in everything the group has to offer. They will be the character(s) you will be using for everything - roleplaying, events and duelling (etc). Your main characters will be the characters in which you use for the majority of your roleplaying, and ideally, the characters in which you focus on developing the most.  Choose wisely when creating your main character as all house points obtained through activity will have to go to one of your main character’s houses.

Main characters are able to;

► Able to participate in events
► Able to partake in interactive character roles eg. prefects, quidditch players
► Able to partake in duelling
► Able to have inventories and buy items from the shop

To create a main character you must complete written and drawn portions of the application below.

Download the app template below and choose the appropriate template according to your character’s house. A full body of your character must drawn, and it is essential that your character’s uniform matches the uniform guide as shown on the top of the journal. No sketches or lineart are allowed - all art must be clean and completely coloured!

* we would like to add that your app art does not have to be digital so long as it is placed cleanly on the template.

Side Character Creation

A side character is a character you can only use for roleplaying. As a result they are restricted in their abilities to interact with the group’s mechanics. They are playable in private roleplays/headcanons with other members or general roleplays in the RP chat. However, they are useful due to being remarkably cheaper than a main character slot, and while this character cannot be fully ‘immersed’ into group activities, it still makes them a canon character within this groupverse.

► Cannot participate in events
► Cannot be an interactive character role eg. prefect, quidditch player
► Cannot take part in the duelling system
► Cannot have an inventory and buy items from the shop

To create a side character you must complete written and drawn portions of the application below.

Download the app template below and choose the appropriate template according to your character’s house. A full body of your character must drawn, and it is essential that your character’s uniform matches the uniform guide as shown on the top of the journal. If there are any small changes you can make to your application to be accepted, we will give you a set amount of time to make these corrections to be accepted into the group.

We don’t message users as to why they are rejected. However if you wish to hear feedback as to why your application was rejected, please note the group your query. Any comments left on the group page itself will be hidden and ignored.

Please remember to be patient with us if we do not get back to you straight away! We have school work and lives outside of the group.

Adding Characters

Members of the group are able to purchase ‘potions’ from the main shop which allow them to create a main or side character. Once this item has been bought a member is able to submit a main or side character to the group.

*All new characters submitted to the group by existing members still need to be judged by the moderators. Already being a member does not grant any new characters immediate approval.

*Please note that characters can only be added if the member has the correct potion, from the shop, within their inventory to complete the action.

Click the ‘Note Group’ button on KIWDDITCH’s front page.
In the note, please make the subject ‘Character Application’ and enter the details of your application in the following format. (Applications without this information or in an incorrect format will be rejected)

Name: Name of your character.
House: Hogwarts house. Eg. Gryffindor
Year: Their school year eg. fourth year
Application: Link to your application eg. sta.sh or fav.me link

Click send note.

Once your application is sent Kwidditch mods will look over it and make their decision as soon as possible. Your application will either be accepted, rejected or pending corrections. If there are any small changes you can make to your application to be accepted, we will give you a set amount of time to make these corrections to be accepted into the group.

Switching Main Characters

Through buying a ‘potion’ from the main shop members are able to either;

► Switch out their main for a completely new main character
► Switch their main character into a side character, and the side character into a main character. Eg. Jake is my main and Taichi is my side character. Through this switching ‘potion’ Jake becomes my side character and Taichi becomes my main.

Important to note:

► Members can only switch each character once every six months.
► Any progress earned within duelling will be lost every time you switch characters. That means each character will have to start from scratch, even if they were previously a high level before you switched them.
► Any items within the main character’s inventory will be kept after the switch.

*Please note that characters can only be switched if the member has the correct potion within their inventory to complete the action.

Click the ‘Note Group’ button on KIWDDITCH’s front page.
In the note, make the subject ‘Switching Characters’ and enter the details of your request in the following format.

Switching from: main character name, link to application
Switching to: side/new character name, link to application
Reason: reason(/s) for wanting to switch

The mods will look over your request and inform you if it has been accepted or not. If your request has been approved please switch the application templates on your applications to the correct template and then inform the mods that you have done so.
Once informed that you have fixed your application the mods will switch your applications to the correct folder in the group and correct the Kwidditch databases (ie. inventories etc). This means the switch has been completed!

Removing Characters

Members of the group are able to remove a main or side character.

Important to note:

► You are able to remove as many characters as you would like - just keep at least one character left for you to RP in the group.

*Please note that characters can only be removed if the member has the correct potion within their inventory to complete the action.

Click the ‘Note Group’ button on KIWDDITCH’s front page.
In the note, make the subject ‘Removing Character’ and enter the details of your request in the following format.

Character being removed: main character name, link to application
Reason: reason(/s) for removal

The Kwidditch mods will look over your request and delete the desired character.
